Five Star Shithole

I joined Andy Warthog this evening for a meal,

on the planet 6 Thanh 4284. As a self-proclaimed food connoisseur, I looked down at my plate. I couldn’t help but notice that my food was staring back at me with wide open eyes.

"So you have obviously never traveled outside the galaxy for a decadent meal,"

Andy chuckled.

"I can't say I have,"

I replied while still poking my dish.

"How often do you do this?"

"Oh, as often as I can!"

Andy Exclaimed.

“I will travel to the ends of space and time to be able to get the opportunity to try the best meals I can find. I wouldn’t be caught dead at anywhere less than a Michelin star restaurant. I mean everything about these types of places is an experience, from the moment you walk in the door! The formal atmosphere, to the small portions, I would drop everything to spend every dime I could on this.”

At this point, I couldn't help but glance down at my plate again, thinking that this surely couldn't be what he was talking about.

“Are you even truly living if you are not experiencing each meal with your entire essence! The Europeans have it right… You must stop and take the time to have a proper meal everyday. For what is life without something delicious?!” Andy continued.

It was clear that Andy was passionate about food and the dining experience. He believes that it’s not just about the taste of the food, but the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant. He considers it as a way of living and an art. The Warthog believes that every meal should be an experience that is savored and appreciated.

As we finished our meal and said our goodbyes, I couldn’t help but think about how much I had learned from Andy about the importance of food and the dining experience. It’s not just about what we eat, but the whole experience that makes it truly memorable. From that day on, I made a promise to myself to take more time to savor and appreciate each meal, and to always be on the lookout for new and exciting dining experiences. I think we all can take a page from this Warthog’s brain, and stop and slow down more often. Savor your food even.
